HR Specialist

Converdia Health Staffing is a locally owned healthcare staffing agency dedicated to matching healthcare professionals with local and national career opportunities. We place various clinicians in travel nurse contracts throughout the US. We also specialize in per diem/PRN work locally. Our company is growing rapidly and now expanding to Sioux Falls!

We are currently seeking a self-motivated and organized Human Resources Specialist to further advance company HR initiatives. The ideal candidate preferably holds an academic HR and/or Administration background combined with work experience in screening and onboarding new hires.

Accessibility is key for maintaining relationships with our local clinicians. Therefore, this job is not remote at this time and will require the daily commute to our Sioux Falls office.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding of new hires using our ATS software
  • Complete reference checks
  • Audit compliance of Active employees
  • Write job descriptions and posting jobs on Indeed
  • Screen resumes of new applicants and conducting phone screenings
  • Schedule interviews for recruiters
  • Track monthly and quarterly progression of onboarding and recruitment process within the Sioux Falls branch
  • Collaborate with Recruiters on Performance Improvement Plans, Corrective Actions and Terminations
  • Serve as the point of contact for healthcare professionals who need assistance with the application process, onboarding documentation and competency exams
  • Administrative duties such as answering phones, scanning, copying, database sorting, etc.
  • Promote company’s reputation as “best place to work”
  • Special projects, as assigned

Qualifications

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced HR team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated work experience in HR, Office Administration or related field
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry is a plus
  • Positive attitude to add value to the team
  • Associate’s Degree or higher

We are seeking a Recruiter to join our Sioux Falls team! A recruiter in this position will be responsible for full cycle recruiting experience, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring great employees. Recruiters collaborate with client managers and facility contacts to ensure best fit for the facility and clinician. This would include placement in a PRN and/or Travel setting.

Our ideal recruiter preferably holds an academic HR/Recruiting background combined with work experience in screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates. However, on-the-job training will be provided in these areas.

Accessibility is key for maintaining relationships with our local clinicians. Therefore, this job is not remote at this time and will require the daily commute to our Sioux
Falls office. However, opportunities to work remotely can be earned periodically based on goal metrics.

Pay info:

First 2 months hourly pay period – 40 hrs/wk – $20/hr

After 2 months, base salary $36,000/year plus commissions – 40 hrs/wk

Responsibilities

  • Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media, etc.
  • Screen candidates resumes and job applications
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
  • Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential new hire relationships during the selection process
  • Promote company’s reputation as “best place to work”
  • Client Management
  • Placement of candidates to facilities
  • Relationship building between recruiter and new hire
  • Corrective action, terminations, interview exits, etc.

Skills

  • Preferred work experience as a Recruiter
  • Solid ability to communicate. Helpful to also be able to conduct different types of interviews (On-the-job training provided)
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference check etc)
  • Preferred familiarity with HR databases, company software training
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented individual, positive attitude to add value to the team
  • Ready for fun!
